We have now reached the summit of the Rucu Pichincha volcano near Quito, Ecuador. The rocky and sandy soil is all we can see, because in early afternoon the top of the mountain is totally caught in the clouds. It's like being in a cold and humid fog. Even if there is no view to enjoy, it's always a great pleasure to reach the top after such a difficult hike.
