While 4th of July is traditionally celebrated as America's birthday, June 14th is the day to honor our flag. So every American should proudly display our flag this day.
"I am what you make me; nothing more. I swing before your eyes as a bright gleam of color, a symbol of yourself."
It is said that already in 1885 the idea of a Flag Day was born, many people suggested to establish a National Flag Day. However it took a long time until August 3rd 1949, when President Truman designated June 14th as National Flag Day.
