There are thousands of these outrigger dugout canoes up and down the beaches around Bali. They are commonly called gegung. Each one is completely different. Most of them have eyes, and ears carved and painted on their bows so they can see their way back home. The sail of each boat is a different pattern of brightly colored canvas and the sight of the whole fleet sailing out at dawn is breathtaking. This one has of flaming lucky eightball on it's transom.
