Old town of Haapsalu consist mainly of small wooden buildings. Next to wood, limestone was the next favorite building material. Base structures of the older buildings are often built of limestone, but there are many buildings completly built from limestone. The smallest house on this photo is one of the oldest houses of Haapsalu - walls built from wood, base structure and mantle chimney from limestone.
