I have taken a panorama at a memorial over 7 scottish and canadian airmen who died here on February 26, 1944, while 594 bombers flew to Augsburg, 131 bombers made a trip to the Kieler Bay and made mines. Three Halifaxes and a Stirling plane were lost during mining. The HAL LK705 was shot down after air combat with a German night hunter, the crashed burning down in Klelund Plantage. The entire crew died and was buried in Gravlunden in Fourfeldt near Esbjerg in early March.
On May 5, 1947, the memory of the 7 killed flyers was revealed near the forest fence in Klelund Plantage
Every year on May 4th in the evening there is a memorial ceremony at the place where the plane crashed. with speaking, singing and music
