In 2002, the parish priest Fr Joseph Remídio Bohn led the church works, electrical installations and sound, plus the floor, refurbished and restored the paintings and decorations inside, and the temple reopened on October 7, 2003, when the Archbishop Archbishop Grings Dadeus granted the title of the church sanctuary.
