The Presena Glacier
The Presena is one of the few glaciers where you can ski even in spring. A modern gondola takes you to 2,585 metres at Passo Paradise, gateway to the glacier that stretches before you right up to Cima Presena standing at a height of 3,069 metres.
Majestic mountains surround the glacier like arms enclosing the skier in an idyllic embrace.
This is where freeriders can access some of the most beautiful off-piste areas in the Alps: Mandrone, Maroccaro, Cima Venezia, Pisgana.
There are also excellent opportunities for hiking on the glacier, and a thrilling mountaineering route passes through vestiges of the Great War.

The region was part of Austria-Hungary (and its predecessor, the Austrian Empire) from 1815 until its annexation by Italy in 1919. Together with the Austrian state of Tyrol it is represented by the Euroregion Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino.More informations on Wikipedia
