Saigon is overwhelmed by motorcycles — on weekdays, waves of them swarm through city streets, navigating past one another in a perilous choreography that never quite manages to end in tragedy. I took this panorama on a Sunday, when the traffic was relatively quiet. Saigon has perhaps 4 million motorcycles and mopeds for a population of 6 million — far more than the number of mobile phones owned by residents.
