KAMENNOOSTROVSKY BRIDGE links Aptekarsky and Kamenny Islands along the Kamennoostrovsky Avenue over the Malaya Nevka River. It was built here in 1760. In 1812-13 the first timber arch bridge in Russia was constructed. It had seven spans, in 1833 it was repaired. In 1859 it was partly rebuilt by adding strut-supported spans.
The present five-span bridge was constructed in 1952-53 similtainesly with Yshakovky bridge as a one line of the main street of Kamennuy ostrov.
The middle opening span has two trunnion bascule wings but in present time doesn't open.
