The bell of the broken chapel has been mounted some meters above the chapel on the summit of the small hill on whose slopes the small farm and the holiday home La Crueize is situated.
The view around is magnificent with cevennes hills all around, the Tanargue in the far north, Mont Lozere in the west and on clear days the Mont Ventoux in the east. Down in the valley lies Bessèges, a former iron working town, now rather quiet.

Languedoc-Roussillon is a French region which is composed of five departments. It is bounded by Spain, Andorra in the south and along the Mediterranean Sea (Gulf of Lions).
