This photograph was taken from the graveyard of Cerne Abbas looking across the graves. To the north one can see the hill in which the giant is inscribed into the chalk. This photograph was taken the same time as I took the one standing by the silver well. The well was dedicated to St Edwold who I believe lived in Cerne and was a hermit, but the monks at the abbey changed the name to Saint Augustine as nobody has ever heard of St Edwold, to attract more visitors.
