Utah has lots of public land, much of it BLM land. Camping is allowed on most of the land and is free. Camping is primative without facilities but you get quite, solitude, great unobstructed views, no generator noise and boom boxes. This site is around the corner from Goblin Valley State Park where campgrounds are often full. Clouds are pink because reddish light is reflected off Utah's red landscape. Night sky here is perfect for stargazing and astrophotography, one of the darkest areas without the light polution of major cities.
