White Mountain Peak - at 14, 252 feet is the highest peak in the White Mountains of Mono County, California. It is the third highest peak in the California. University of California operates high altitude research a station at the peak and on the mountain. The peak can be reached via a old road past White Mountain Research Center, now degraded to a trail via a 14 mile hike from a locked gate.
