Convento do Carmo in the town of Moura, it was the first establishment of the Carmelite Order in the Iberian Peninsula, founded in the reign of King Afonso III in 1251. It was here that broke the monks who founded the Convento do Carmo in Lisbon, at the invitation of Nuno Alvares Pereira. The church and cloister of the Convento do Carmo were included in the list of Built Heritage in Portugal in 1944, with the value of a Public Interest
