Glacier gorge near grimsel pass
Switzerland

The ice age glaciers have formed the upper Aare valley. They rounded and polished the granite and deep beneath their surface water and stones formed this gorge through a zone of very hard rock.

The Aare should be a reasonable river at this point, however, most of the water goes through the tunnels of the hydroelectric power plants.
