The massive statue of a Steel Worker stands proudly in Haizhu Square. People were called by Chairman Mao to be workers in the factories and industry during the big industrial push to develop and build China. There are 2 Guangzhou Metro Lines which interchange at Haizhu Square, line 2 and line 6. Haizhu Sqaure is one of the centres of many trade markets in Guangzhou too.
