Haizhu Square, Guangzhou
Guangdong Province

The massive statue of a Steel Worker stands proudly in Haizhu Square. People were called by Chairman Mao to be workers in the factories and industry  during the big industrial push to develop and build China. There are 2 Guangzhou Metro Lines which interchange at Haizhu Square, line 2 and line 6. Haizhu Sqaure is one of the centres of many trade markets in Guangzhou too. Thousands of buyers and tourists from all over the world visit the area each year to haggle over the latest offerings. For a 1 off, a box or even a shipping container of goods, they have it all here.
