Piers 1 through 5 traditionally served the inland trade of riverboats and bay ferries. Hornblower Cruises' San Francisco Belle emulates a nineteenth century riverboat, the historic Santa Rosa was a two-ended car ferry that is now docked permanently at Pier 3.
