Maarjamäe Memorial stands on Pirita road between Lasnamäe plateau and Tallinn Bay.
The memorial is remembering those who have lost their lives during the Second World War. The memorial is made up of both architectural and landscaping elements. At its centre stands a 35-metre obelisk, but the ensemble also includes the handprints above the Eternal Flame for the victims of war and bronze “Perishing Seagulls” in two facets between the symbols of two powers.
