Image captured early morning 7/24/2015 from unofficially named "Island Lake" in the Kaweah Basin, Sequoia National Park California. This lake served as the initial objective for the trip due to a meetup from members of highsierratopix.com, and proved a more-than-worthy destination. The calm lake surface reflects the peaks of the mighty Kaweah ridge, having crossed it the day prior via Pyra Queen Col.
