La Basilique de Notre-Dame-d'Afrique (Basilica of Our Lady of Africa) is located in the commune of Bologhine, west of Algiers, on a promontory overlooking the mediterranean sea from an altitude of 124 m.
It was built by the architect Jean-Eugène Fromageau in the Roman-Byzantine style, and inaugurated in 1872.
