Photo taken 7/25/2015 during a 5-day trek through the southern Sierra Nevada mountains in California. Lonely Lake is a remote location in Sequoia National Park, infrequently visited yet intensely beautiful. After 4 days of tough backpacking through varied terrain, this lake provided blissful rest as well as an invigorating plunge into the frigid waters.
