The Schaiblingsturm is one of the landmarks of Passau. He stands on the south side of the old town of Passau near the Ortspitze on a towering above the rocks at the Inn Innkai. Of the conical shape of the tower masonry his name is probably derived: disc - Schaibling. The round tower with high spire is a witness of the medieval fortifications of Passau.
The tower is now owned by the city of Passau, the power of the keys, has the director of the Leopoldinums.

The “Free State of Bavaria” is renowned for being culturally unique and for the emphasis which it places on preserving its heritage and traditions. It is also extraordinarily beautiful, boasting a plethora of castles, palaces, cathedrals, abbeys and monasteries not to mention spectacular scenery. Bavaria is more than Alps, men in “lederhosen” (leather pants), women in “dirndl” (traditional dresses) and frothy glasses of beer by the “maβ” (liter).
