The village of Ermida, which seems to have been a simple bland (set of cattle shelters and mountain farming), is a characteristic mountain village (540m), with the typical development of agricultural area in terraces, with a compact dark granite houses . Some rooms have well-equipped masonry. Those intended for livestock, formerly covered with thatch, are currently covered with corrugated sheet. The organization of green or yellow fields, in terraces, taking advantage of the gravity irrigation of the water coming from the mountains. There are two large common threshing floors, each with its groups of granaries. Its times, among the few that are preserved, are the most important in Alto-Minho, and its community organization is not far from that in the village of Vilarinho da Furna, located south of Serra Amarela.
