It is located about 34 km to the north of Mersin. Occupying a place where it holds control of an important route that turns right before entering Ayvagediği Plateau and continues towards Çandır Fortress indicates that it could have been a patrol station. The name of the place in the Middle Ages is not known.
There is one tower on each corner of the rectangular shaped fortress. Walls of the fortress have partially collapsed and the internal structure has been completely destroyed. Traces of a staircase leading upstairs can be seen at some points. The entrance must have been on the eastern face. There are six observation niches on the second floor of the fortress.
