An ancient village street leads from the Old Highroad towards one of the best towers in Suffolk.

Cottages and almshouses of different periods stand around the church in this part of a scattered villagel.

The grandeur of such a church is a reminder that in the late middle ages this was one of the richest parts of England selling wool across Europe
