The Terlingua, Texas ghost town is located in Brewster County just outside of Big Bend National Park.  It is a popular tourist attraction and is host to a popular annual chili cook off every fall.   The town used to be a Quicksilver (Mercury) mine in the early part of the 20th century.   If you look at the south window, you'll see the Perry Mansion.  This is was the mine owner's estate.  This simple adobe school house would educate all of the children of the mine workers. Imagine if these walls could talk!
