The inscription on the minbar in the Ulu Mosque, which has impressive architecture, states that it was built in 1579 by İbrahim Bey, son of Piri Pasha from Ramazanogullari. The inscription of the minaret in the western courtyard states that it was built in 1363 in the name of the Mamluk Sultan. It is clear from this that the minaret belongs to an older mosque and that the Ulu Mosque was built later on top of the old building in the same location, preserving the religious tradition.
