The Bambouseraie de Prafrance near Anduze in a valley of the Cevennes contains Europe's oldest and largest bamboo collection - among other exotic plants. Much information is provided in different languages about bamboo, it's use, the history of the garden and the other plants.
The dragon valley is a very nice japanese garden designed with the principles of feng shui. The remnant of the tree just across the pond was one of the most beautiful and large Ginkgo trees in france until it was partly destroyed by a mini tornado in 2011.

Languedoc-Roussillon is a French region which is composed of five departments. It is bounded by Spain, Andorra in the south and along the Mediterranean Sea (Gulf of Lions). Other French region limit the regions of Languedoc-Roussillon: Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, Rhone-Alpes, Auvergne, Midi-Pyrenees.
