Here is the Hittite religious center of Nerik. In the 2nd millenium B.C. the Hittites ruled an empire that reached from western Turkey (Troja belonged to the Hittite empire) to the borders of Egypt.

In 2013 for the first time a group of Turkish archaeology students did a training for several weeks; a very positive experience for all participants.
