This church is built entirely of limestone on the edge of the same place "La Madeleine, surrounded by olive trees planted in pots and pink lavender. This former church was built in the 10th, 11 and 14 Century. Its bell tower, which is both bright and dark aisle today to remember the bloody events in the gloomy period of the Cathars.

Béziers is a town in Languedoc in the southwest of France. It is a commune and a sub-prefecture of the Hérault department. The town is located on a small bluff above the river Orb, about 10 km (6.2 mi) from the Mediterranean Sea. At Béziers the Canal du Midi spans the river Orb as an aqueduct called the Pont-canal de l'Orb. claimed to be the first of its kind.
