About Rescue Camden Rescue Camden is a Voluntary Community Committee set up in 2010 to help with the Restoration & Development of Fort Camden which is internationally recognised as one of the finest remaining examples of a classical Coastal Artillery Fort. We have worked tirelesly throughout the winter on developing the project. We have made incredible progress on a number of fronts.We are currently preparing this season's programme of events and we look forward to opening a Tunnel & walking tour later this year. Our aim is to clean, restore & develop this magnificent Fortress to its former glory thus creating a tourism and heritage centre which will not only become a huge attraction, locally, nationally and globally but will also create sustainable employment. Whilst 2010 proved what a fantastic & popular ammenity Fort Camden is it is imperative now that the Fort remains open, to visitors the World over. With this in mind we would ask you for your support.
