Castle Beuggen near Rheinfelden, Gate House
Baden-Wuerttemberg
This is the oldest of the surviving commandries of the Order of Brothers of the German House of Saint Mary in Jerusalem (Teutonic Order). The castle was constructed in 1268 and until 1806, when the Teutonic Order was dissolved, it served as a commandry. Today it is a Conference place of the protestant church of Baden.
