As the light of the setting sun gives the waters of Tamsui River a golden hue, the bike path was named the "Golden Shore Bike Path". Its fame has since spread due to the beautiful scenery and tourist attractions along the way. The path itself is relatively flat and easy to ride, making it suitable for relaxation and family outings.
