The former waterworks on the elb island "Kaltehofe" provided Hamburg with drinking water for over a hundred years. The waterworks was closed in 1990 and untouched for 20 years. And reopened in 2010 as museum that now shows informations about the history and the nature.
"DIEMA" stands for "Diepholzer Maschinenfabrik" - Diepholz is the name of a city and Maschinenfabrik is for machine factory
