An "ibón" is how the glacial lakes of the Pyrenees mountains are called in Aragón (Spain). The lakes were formed when the glaciers on the high peaks of the Pyrenees melted, forming lagoons in the basins and depressions between mountains. Many of them gradually fill up with sediments, and may disappear over time.
