We had a fantastic day in the wilderness on 10/17/2015, with the intention of climbing Mt. Russell. Clouds were blooming above us up toward our objective, but also gathering below across the Owens Valley. We arrived at Upper Boyscout Lake 8 months after having turned away to climb Whitney to an enjoyable lunch in the pristine scenery. The only distraction was looking up toward our objective, where the weather looked progressively worse.
