Mission San Luis Rey is located in Oceanside, California, USA. It is part of the mission system in California and was created in 1798 by Spanish explorers to “Alta California”. The mission is still an active church that holds regular masses. Besides the mission church are a courtyard, cemetery, museum rooms, a chapel, and remnants of living quarters from the period.
