Square of Puerto Montt
Named Martínez Buenaventura, in gratitude to the founder of the city, the original parade was born with the first layout of the streets in 1852.
A year later, he witnessed the founding of Puerto Montt, when Vicente Perez Rosales, accompanied by the pastor of Ancud, Miguel Sevilla, two priests and a choir of Germans read the original act.
The current square, called Manuel Irarrázabal, has been remodeled four times and has among its virtues, be the first public square with a garden that took Chile.
