This is the inside of the church of Puente la Reina. Not far away from Puente la Reina the French and Aragonese ways of the pilgrimage routes of the Way of St. James unite into one. The continued route then crosses the Arga river over a bridge build in the 11th century. Puente la Reina litterally means "The Queen´s Bridge" and refers to the bridge crossing the river as the bridge was donated by Dona Mayor the wife of King Sancho III. The town was then named after her.
