From around 1870 a colony of painters from Denmark and some from Sweden and Norway were drawn by the light of Skagen. At Skagens Museum you can find many of the famous paintings by people like Anna and Michael Ancher, P.S. Kroeyer, Christian Krogh and Holger Drachmann.
