The view out towards the uninhabited islands of Sandray, Pabbay and Mingulay from Ben Rulibreck on Vatersay at the southern tip of the Western Isles.
The tiny island of Vatersay is home to fewer than 100 inhabitants. It is the southern-most populated island in the Outer Hebrides. Since 1991 it has had a permanent link to Barra via a causeway, providing access to the daily ferry service to the Scottish mainland.
