The panorama is taken at the hilltop of Kanoni peninsula. We see a plane that is just about to land on the airport of Corfu island. From here one can also see the Vlacherna monastery, which was constructed centuries ago on a small rocky island. A few hundred meters away in the water is the beautiful Mouse island (in the Greek "Pontikonisi"). Its name comes from the fact that seen from above, it looks like a little mouse. This island is very small and has plenty of greenery on it. It can be walked for up to 5 minutes. From Kanoni or the monastery to Pontikonisi one can reach by boat for a decent fee. The boats travel to the island every 20-30 minutes. The Mouse island has an old Byzantine church.
