Old Avala Tower was built from 1961 until 1964. The Tower has started working in the 1965.It was 202,87 meters high. It was designed by the architects Ugljesa Bogunovic and Slobodan Janjic, and the designer, Academician Milan Krstic. On 29th, April 1999.It was destroyed by NATO bombing. The new tower was rebuilt in 2009. The ceremonial opening was in 2010, and once again it became the most recognizable structure of the capital of Serbia.
