土地庙——福德堂：
幼年胡宗宪去龙须山的古庙读书时，来去都得趟水过河。一次放学路遇倾盆大雨，河水陡涨，小宗宪一筹莫展时，被一位好心的长袍大汉背了过去。小宗宪问其姓甚名谁？为何背他过河，大汉笑而不答，却在夜里托梦给小宗宪；原来长袍大汉正是负责“这一方水土一方人”平安的土地神。小宗宪暗自在心中立下刻骨铭心的志愿，将来要建造一座又大又新的土地庙，以报答他的过河之恩。后来，建造尚书府时，胡宗宪想起了兑现自己的夙愿，并突发创意：干脆将土地庙建在尚书府内，取名福德堂。
