Just north and west of Sandvig lies the preserved and magnificent nature area 'Hammerknuden' with the heathery hills, granite cliffs and the tip of Bornholm 'Hammerodde' with the lighthouse 'Hammerodde Fyr'

Twisting roads lead up to the lighthouse from where you can see all the way to the Swedish coast in clear weather.
