Igalo is a town in the municipality of Herceg Novi in Montenegro. According to the census of 2003. there were 3754 people (according to 1991 census. there were 3676 inhabitants). This is a city that, although the Herceg Novi town makes a single whole, can be considered as a separate settlement. The name comes from the same words of Greek origin, meaning "coast - beach - shore."
Igalo is known as a tourist destination, thanks to a radioactive - with sea mud Mud beach - or as it is also called Old Spa, a center for health tourism in Montenegro. Igalo is also known unexploited mineral water called "Igaljka". In the 1930th Testing was performed in the laboratory igaljskog mud-known French resorts Senior ("Vichy"), which is definitely confirmed his remarkable healing, but only after the Second World War, initiated by Mirko J. In Igalo is a church of Sv. Transfiguration of our Lord, in the second half of the 17th century, which is rebuild 1857th year.
