The Kandel (1241,3 m) is a mountain in the Black Forest that rises high above the Rhine valley. During the Corona lock down in 2021 the summit of the Kandel was very crowded. The solution against this problem was quite simple. The authorities stopped removing the snow from the parking lots and they did not clear the hiking trails from snow. The also closed down one road up to the pass. So one could experience quite a tranquil sun rise. Please note: The colours of the panorama have NOT been manipulated with Photoshop or so!
