What to say about Monument Valley? It is probably a known park to almost everyone. It is located in Arizona in the Navajo managed area. Once you enter the park you approach a parking lot with some shops and the relatively new The View Hotel. From the parking lot you can access the loop trail through the valley. It is a sand road, but fit for all "normal" cars. If you are not familiar with driving in such conditions, there are also guided tours for additional payment. The trail brings you along all known sights and driving in your own car enables you to stop and get off the car wherever you want and not only at the designated stops of the tour. You will also find some shops and stands that sell native Indian jewlery and souvenirs.
