The museum, located on the Taşucu Road in Silifke District, Mersin, is a two-sorey modern building where historical findings from different historical periods gathered around the region are exhibited.
In the first floor, marble and limestone statues from different periods and several amphorae are on display.
Apart from the treasure findings from the Meydancık Fortress, other collections of coins are exhibited in one of the halls of the second floor; showcases where mostly ceramic findings are displayed in chronological order, excavation findings from Kalenderis located in Aydıncık District, and a special place where findings from Kilise Tepe Tumulus are presented in the second hall; and ethnographic pieces are displayed in the third hall. The museum is open for visitors everyday during working hours, except for the first days of religious holidays, when it opens in the afternoon.
