This summer the retreating Steingletscher at Sustenpass formed some impressive arches. 20 years ago it reached the lake, which is visible far down in the valley. Glaciers are disappearing not only in the Alps but all over the world, causing major problems as they not only provide water for drinking and irrigation, but also for electricity.
